Hello Aida has been an amazing tool. As a tutor, educator and mom I’ve used the platform all round. I love that learners can use the tool on their own as they can chat/type into the platform or use voice chat. Hello Aida then responds via chat or you can press on the listen button and allow it to speak back to you. There’s options to guide you to the answer or give you the direct answer. Learners still have to think critically as it guides you step by step then follows up with another question to make sure you understand. I’ve used it in several lessons on my projector and especially now during exam time as a revision tool. I’ve recommended this tool to my learners and parents/guardians. At my school many teachers are interested in the platform as well. It’s aligned with caps or IEB curriculum and you can make it grade and subject specific!

HelloAida is the best tool my son and I have ever used. Not only is it easy to use, but it's also the best in explaining content to him. I’ll be honest, I was a bit unsure about using an AI tutor for homework because my first thought was, “Is this just going to give the answer and let the child copy it?”

But that’s actually not what happened.

What I liked about HelloAida is that it helped slow the question down and explain it in smaller steps. And honestly, that’s the part I need as a parent. Sometimes I know what the answer is, but explaining it in a way that makes sense to a child is a completely different skill.

It felt more like a little backup tutor than a shortcut. Something to use when your child is stuck, you’re tired, and the homework page is starting to look like it was written specifically to test your emotional stability.

I also liked that it’s made for South African learners and connects to CAPS and IEB, because that makes it feel more useful than a random general AI tool.

I’d use it again for those moments where my child needs help understanding the work, but I don’t want to just hand over the answer. It’s a helpful extra tool for homework time, especially when everyone’s brain is already half asleep.
