I recently attempted to register for a MOMO account but was informed that my ID number has already been used to register an existing account. As I have never registered for MOMO before, I am concerned that my personal information may have been used fraudulently.

I contacted the MOMO Support team to report this issue. Unfortunately, the consultant who assisted me, Vicky, refused to provide any assistance despite my explaining the seriousness of my concerns regarding possible identity fraud. I was simply advised to visit an MTN Store for assistance.

At present, I am unable to visit a store, and given the potential risk of fraud, I urgently request your assistance in investigating this matter remotely. Please advise me of the steps required to verify my identity, deactivate any unauthorized account registered using my ID number, and enable me to register my own MOMO account.
